About This Project

Rahul Reddy Thummala

This website was created by Rahul Reddy Thummala, who believes maps tell better stories than spreadsheets and that Navodaya alumni deserve a map worthy of their journeys.

Big thanks to Vikram Reddy Thummala, Rahul’s brother, for helping with data, logic, and the occasional “are you sure this makes sense?” conversations. Every good project needs a second brain.

This project is personal. Rahul’s father studied at JNV Kurnool, and Rahul attended a global Navodaya alumni meetup with him. That’s when the scale of Navodaya truly hit home. Amazing stories from every corner of India and across the world, all starting from schools many people have never even heard of.

At that moment, Rahul realized something important:
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are basically India’s Hogwarts.
No magic wands (sadly), but plenty of transformation, lifelong friendships, and alumni who end up everywhere.

Why This Project Exists

Navodaya alumni are spread across states, countries, and continents, but their stories are usually told in fragments: WhatsApp groups, reunion speeches, or nostalgic “remember that multipurpose hall?” debates.

This project exists to:

All data is used at a summary level only. No names. No personal tracking. Just collective stories drawn as lines on a map.

If this map makes you think, smile, or say “Wow, we really did go everywhere”, then it’s doing its job.

Rahul requests you to submit the intake form, so your great journey is documented. That is YOUR line on this map.
